A residential lot adjacent to the orphanage property with two houses and a very large playground area has just become for sale. This property would be ideal for the children's play needs, and for expanded ministry to unwed and abused mothers and infants.

The orphanage has begun a day-care ministry to the children of working mothers.

These mothers need help for their children while they work, and since the orphanage girls are at school during the day the logistics are right to provide this ministry to these mothers and children. The blog gives more news on this part of the ministry. See below for blog address.

As in the United States, some Mexican wives have to take their children and flee from physically abusive husbands. The orphanage is presently providing temporary shelter and refuge for some of these women with their children and the adjacent property for sale would easily accommodate this ministry.

Also, Sister Elma is having conversations with the Mexican government about establishing a day care and Christ-centered parent education program for families near a Mexican factory where 500 employees have children ages 1-6.
