Casa Hogar MaMi  is a Christian orphanage for girls in Reynosa, Mexico. The girls range in age from two years to seventeen years old. Some have no parent; some are abused by one or both parents; some are abandoned.  Some get to the orphanage by way of government agency referral. Some are brought by family members.

And some come from the town garbage dump. At first, they all did. All come in need of loving care, and the deep healing that only Jesus can perform.

They are given regular meals, and clothing, and a clean place to stay that is their place. More than that, they are given love, protection, guidance and correction.

They go to school, some for the first time. In three different classrooms, a girl from the orphanage has been the top performing student, and doing homework is a big part of each day's activities for every child.

When they need medical attention, or just tender loving care, they get it. A medical intern is at the orphanage from 9-4 for three days each week, and their medications are closely monitored. In addition, medical personnel from the United States have made special trips to the orphanage to provide care.

You cannot overestimate the change that all of this is compared to the life these children had before. Some girls stay for years, but within months you begin to see social and emotional healing taking place. Even more importantly, in time spiritual life begins for most. Jesus spoke of being born again, and that new life that He gives supernaturally transforms these girls.

Casa Hogar MaMi was begun as a step of faith in Jesus Christ; He is the One who causes it to continue, and He is the One who provides the daily needs.
